Near the outskirts of Foreign Forest, Ue stood in awe. A steady stream of words in her native language rolled across her tongue. Her black skin was taught and alert, and Bi undulated strangely.
With strange halting steps, Ue walked through the forest. She stopped at the oddest things. Small plants, broken up pathways, large vines; there was no rhyme or reason. At a large fountain, Ue relaxed and sat down on the edge. She swung her bare-feet into the cool water. Despite her mild splashing and calmer demeanor, Ue’s senses were on high alert. No one could move near her without her starting and turning.

Sollie could only stare at the strange woman. She had seated herself against the trunk of a large tree, reading a book. But now that this newcomer had arrived, Sollie could concentrate on nothing else.
She seemed very graceful, this woman. Very poised. It was almost like she belonged here. Sollie felt very out of place indeed with her proper bookstore clothes and manner. Had she been working her other job, she would have been able to blend in more, like the woman now in front of her. And even though the woman wasn't actually looking at her, Sollie had the distinct impression that she knew she was there.
Even so, she carefully closed her book, stood up, and padded forward as silently as she could walk (which, given her nature, was quieter than most could manage). The woman might have known she was there, but Sollie felt the situation called for silence.

Krenz walked over to where there was a rose bush. Feeling a little silly, he picked some roses and took a rope, tying them together.
There...perfect... just what I need for my vase... he thought to himself. He noticed one woman sitting by the water and dangling her feet in it and another woman that looked vaguely familiar to him. He sat on the bench and opened a book and started to read it, although he from time to time became very distracted by the woman who looked somewhat familiar to him and the woman who was dangling her feet in the water.

Ue turned toward Sollie as the small woman had moved. She smiled and waved, though in greeting, passing or beckoning it was hard to tell. With a laugh she jumped up onto the edge of the fountain and began to dance. The rhythm was complicated and staccato, yet her movements were serpentine with fluid grace. Wet footprints weaved across the stone perimeter.
When her dance brought her in view of Krenz she smiled and repeated her strange wave; somehow incorporating it into her dance. As she completed a full circuit around the fountain edge she continued to laugh and gestured for Sollie to join her. “We must thank the Graces for such liquid plenty and beauty. Join me human.” Ue’s voice was nothing special, but it gained a strange echoing quality as she said “human.”

Sollie had never danced before. Ever. She had seen other people doing it, of course, but she didn't figure she could be graceful enough to do it herself.
Still, though, the woman's manner and movements were simply too inviting to pass up. She felt, in fact, that it would be an insult to the graceful woman to refuse.
Setting down her book behind a tree (knowing, of course, that she couldn't lose it, as it belonged to the bookstore and she hadn't purchased it), she took off her shoes and joined the woman on the fountain.
"I've never done this before," she said. Her voice, she found, was shaking.

Krenz was drawn in by the dancing that Ue and Sollie partook of. He took his glasses off, put it in his pocket and placed his book on the bench. He stood up to walk closer to them. He almost felt hypmotized by it.
I don't know the last time I had fun dancing... he thought to himself. He walked closer to them, observing them as he took each step.

Ue grabbed Sollie by the hand and laughed. “When ya dance for the Graces it does not matter. They appreciate any joyful movement.” Her golden top billowed and dazzled as she spun around Sollie, still clinging to her hand.
“Here, I’ll make it easier for ya!” Without ever breaking rhythm, Ue jumped into the water. As both of her chain bags swung up into the air she grabbed them and beat them together. Suddenly, an alien music filled the air. It flowed in the strange beat that Ue was still dancing too. Drums, bells and odd flutes echoed throughout the forest. Ue resumed her circling dance, splashing along the shallow fountain.
“Join in the dance man.” Ue swung by Krenz. “The Graces are without gender. Juvenile, Parent and Elder. Such splendor!” She kicked up water playfully at Sollie and Krenz.

Sollie gasped as both the music and the water from the fountain hit her. She had never experienced anything this joyful before, and before long she became intoxicated by it. Without a second thought she leaped into the fountain as well, gasping again at the coldness of the water.
She grabbed Ue's hand and, laughing one of her rare laughs, joined in the dance.

Krenz had felt joy like he hadn't felt in a long time. He laughed as water splashed in his face.He took off his shoes and socks and his trenchcoat and joined them in the fountain. He laughed and danced with them and boy did it feel good for him to laugh!

Ue swung Sollie about, twisting about her laughing partner and soaking her to the bone. As the made a circle around the fountain she guided Sollie to Krenz, spinning each other around the young man in beat to the pounding rhythm. Their wild dance continued a minute more before the music slowed down and faded away. Ue released Sollie’s hand and stepped back from Krenz. “The Graces must be pleased.”
Beaming happily, Ue stepped back up onto the founatains edge. She shook herself out, chain purses jingling and her golden shirt spraying sheets of water. “Who woulda thought a human station could be such fun!”

Sollie took Krenz's hand, and continued the dance in the same vein that Ue had started it in. She knew she had seen him, and she knew where she had seen him, but at the moment she had not a care at all. She also noticed that she was sopping wet, but for some reason it just felt right.
"I don't think I've had this much fun in ages!" Sollie shouted.

"I don't think I've had this much fun in awhlie myself!" Krenz said, dancing with Sollie (whom he found very familiar). He watched the water splash about under their feet. The water felt absolutely wonderful under his feet.

After a few more dizzying minutes of dancing, Sollie began to tire. She suddenly noticed her clothes clinging to her, and her teeth beginning to chatter. She still didn't want to stop, but her body was telling her she'd had enough. She kicked upwards one last time with her right leg, with the intention of going out with a bang.
Unfortunately, the momentum carried her too far, and she fell over backwards into the fountain; instead of going out with a bang, she went out with a splash.

Noticing poor Sollie had fallen, he extended his hand to her.
"Here, are you alright?" He asked smiling.

"N-never been b-better." Sollie stuttered, getting to her feet. She noticed that she was shivering, but at the same time didn't feel remotely miserable.
"T-that was interesting, w-wasn't it?" She said, still grinning.
