A morning after visiting Mirror's Tavern, Anthong knocked on the faux-screen door of Karuri's dojo. "Ms. Zanshatama?" Despite his normal ability to hold a perfect poker face, an edge of impatience colored his voice. In his hand, he held a large plastic sheet rolled up like a scroll. A black and green ribbon bound it shut.

All it took was for Ruhk to walk around the local stores to hear something about the majority of the locals. Stations were always filled with gossip, all anyone ever really had to do to learn about something was just listen. Either way, it didn’t take long for word of a few very cute, as the young boy who Ruhk was listening to put it, sword wielders residing on the station. Curiosity got the better of him, and before long, Ruhk found himself wandering towards the station’s dojo.
Ruhk walked up to the screen door Anthong was knocking on, usual grin present on his face. Today it seemed like he was actually dressed rather normally too, added bonus I guess. “Why hello love, are you hear to visit the little fighter living here too?”

Opening the door, Karuri rubbed her eyes. She looked as though she had a long night, because the white of her eyes looked like they had little red lines in them. Nevertheless, her hair had been well brushed and she had put on a presentable enough set of clothes. She saw "2" men standing in front of her door. One being the government official she had seen at the docks and at the tavern and another face being one she hadn't seen yet before.
"Can I help you?" Karuri asked politely, staring at both of the gentlemen.

Anthong had opened his mouth the respond to Ruhk when Karuri opened the door. "Good morning Ms. Zanshatama," he started. "I have official business to discuss with you, but if you have a lesson planned for this morning I can return later." Anthong gestured at Ruhk. His voice controlled to neutrality again.
"I did not mean to interrupt sir." Anthong bowed his head lightly toward Ruhk.

Ruhk chirped in delight, his wings already on fluttery mode. “Lessons? You offer lessons here? The dojos on the other stations never offered lessons to the travelers, just the residents and occupants of the world they might be docked by.” Turning to Anthong, Ruhk continued his happy chirping. “And you called me sir! No one calls me sir anymore, not unless I’m in trouble at least. I’m not in trouble am I? Not that I would mind, you’re hot enough, I’d let you cuff me down.” Class wasn’t something Ruhk was … overly full of.

Karuri responded, rubbing her eyes.
"I have no class scheduled for this morning, I have no class scheduled until late afternoon." She opened the door wider and gestured Anthong and Ruhk to come in. "Please, come in and sit down."

Dusty had just popped by her office dropping off the extra roots and checking how large her pile of reports was getting when she decided that she would ask Anthong what he thought of the whole Colonel situation. She had gone over to his office and noticed that he wasn't there but a new recruit happened to be passing by and told her that she had just seen him walking towards the dojo. Now Dusty was standing a little bit farther down the hallway looking at Anthong standing outside the dojo with Ruhk and Karuri. Ugh...How am I going to talk to him now? He is doing his job I just cant go and interrupt him from it..... Dusty sighed and began to wring her hands. Damn it....Ill just go and do it.
She began to walk closer to the group and began to get increasingly nervous, how was she going to interrupt him? What if he got mad and told her to go away? She noticed that Karuri was ushering Anthong and Ruhk in...she increased her walking pace. If she had to knock on the door it would make things worse...just make it so there was one more person she had to talk to. She walked up next to Anthong and looked at his uniform...how clean cut it was and how non wrinkling it was too...was hers like that?
She looked to Ruhk then to Karuri and then to Anthong. She cleared her throat slightly and said, "Hello again Anthong...I was just wondering...if I could speak to you for a moment about....something..." She looked to the two others "I mean as long as you two don't mind?" Dusty said forcing a smile.

Anthong looked blankly at Dusty, "Major McCleary?” He used her formal title specifically since he was on duty. “I will attend you as soon as I can; however, I must finish with Ms. Zanshatama first as she has just invited us in."
"After you sir." Anthong gestured to Ruhk, a strange emphasis on "sir." Whether playfully, automatically or dangerously, one could not tell. He knelt down to unlace his boots and remove them before he entered the dojo.
"Thank you for seeing us," he bowed formally to Karuri waiting for the others to enter first. His gesture seemed to include Dusty as part of the group.

Dusty blushed, slightly embarrassed by making such a fool of herself. "Of course. I wouldn't want to interrupt." Noticing that Anthong was including her in the invitation she quickly slipped out of her boots, making sure her small knife stayed inside of the left one and proceeded into the dojo smiling at Karuri. She turned and waited until the two gentlemen made their way into the dojo as well.
Since she had never been in this "shop" before Dusty quickly looked around it, pleased at how clean and well organized everything seemed to be. "You have a beautiful dojo, Ms. Zanshatama."

Karuri smiled and bowed to dusty.
"Why thank you...Ms...Dusty is it? I don't want to be rude if you prefer me to call you something different, but you may call me Karuri." She said putting out her hand.
"And can I get any of you anything? Something to drink perhaps?" She asked, trying to be hospitable.

((ooc: ack! ruhk was totally skipped. since there are more then 2 people on here let's make a quick order shall we? Going from this it's: anthong, dusty, karuri, then ruhk.... so please wait for the next person in the rotation to post before you post again m'kay?))
Ruhk quickly jumped out of his sandels and followed the others inside. “So lets see if I caught enough, I know Miss Dusty already, and the pretty boy is Anthong? Then Miss…. Miss… Zanny something. I’m meeting so many new people today!” His wings started their usual happy flutter as he made his way over to Dusty. Leaning slightly too close to her with his usual flirty grin, he carefully whispered “So is that tall glass of hotness the boy you were flustered over earlier?” He kept his voice just low enough that it’d be rather hard for Anthong to hear his question.

Rather hard, but not impossible to hear. Anthong blinked at Ruhk's question to Dusty but made no comment. He stepped inside the dojo and shut the screen behind him. He placed his boots off to the side of the entrance.
"No thank you Ms. Zanshatama," Anthong replied to the refreshments question. "I will need to ask you a few questions and see some of your paperwork." It was odd that it today's electronic society the term paperwork had not yet fallen out of use.

Dusty quickly nodded at Ruhk when Anthong turned to Karuri. "Though he doesn't seem to care very much." She whispered back as she politely stepped around Ruhk and answered Karuri's question about her name, "That is my first name but I would prefer if you would call me Ms. McCleary for now. " She walked closer to where Karuri was standing and replied to her other question about refreshments, "Do you have any tea? I would love some if you have any available."

Karuri smiled, "I happen to have some tea on the stove right now," She said to Dusty. "I'll go and get some for you." She then turned to Anthong to ask about the "paper work" he was talking about.
"What kind of "paper work" are you referring to? and do you need the microchip kind or?... cuz I could get it right now while I go get Ms. McCleary some tea." Karuri answered politely, being in a very cooperative mood.

Ruhk gave another happy little chirp and moved to get a better look at Karuri. “Do I get tea too? Better yet, all I need is hot water since I have my own teabags. It’s great stuff, gives you lots of extra energy for those long days. Plus it tastes like grapes! Not that I‘ve ever had a real grape, but that‘s what this old human told me once.” Everyone else seemed to have an actual reason to be there, yet Ruhk hated it when people ignored him.
